Two new, sustainable ecoPARKs, operated by our sister company of the same name, are being developed in Duisburg and Krefeld. These attractive spaces are flexibly tailored to meet the needs of a wide variety of users—from logistics and light industrial companies to craft businesses and creative professionals.

As a developer, Landmarken has been known for nearly four decades for developing high-quality real estate and neighborhoods. From the very beginning, it has been standard company practice to add select projects to its own portfolio upon completion. What is new, however, is the strategic approach of deliberately building an independent real estate portfolio—supplemented by the targeted acquisition of external properties.

Distinguished visitors at our “Gold:Eck” residential complex in Düsseldorf: Ina Scharrenbach, Minister for Home Affairs, Municipal Affairs, Construction, and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller spoke with tenants at the end of August and learned about the concept behind our project, which—in addition to a 45 percent subsidy for affordable housing—also includes shared apartments for apprentices.

The time has come: The first tenants have moved into their bright and healthy apartments. By summer alone, we had received well over 1,300 inquiries for our Moringa Hamburg HafenCity pilot project—and there would certainly have been many more if we hadn’t stopped accepting applications for the publicly subsidized apartments in Building One back in June.

Housing for all generations in existing and new buildings, along with a daycare center, a children’s playground, and other amenities such as a café, doctors’ offices, and therapy practices: This will be Landmarken’s first residential neighborhood development in Baden-Württemberg—in a location steeped in history.

For 12 years, Sylvia Friederich was in charge of the residential division—and, at times, also neighborhood development—at Landmarken. Pioneering projects such as the Quartier Guter Freund in Aachen and the Moringa are just two of many developments closely associated with her name. At her own request, she is now scaling back her role slightly. She remains a partner at Landmarken but will now focus on individual projects. Anke Berns has taken over as her successor; following a handover period of about two months, she has now assumed leadership of the Residential Unit. We spoke with both of them.

Huge success in the competition: Landmarken AG has won the investor selection process conducted by the City of Münster and Stadtwerke Münster for a plot of land at the city harbor. With its concept for a versatile neighborhood directly on the waterfront, Landmarken’s design impressed the jury and prevailed in the final selection phase. Now, an attractive mix of residential, hotel, dining, office, and other uses can be developed.

The Neue Gesundheitshaus Dortmund is setting standards that extend far beyond the country's borders: As the only German nominee, the project secured a spot on the prestigious shortlist for the “ULI Europe Award for Excellence.”

A 220-million-euro investment, 420 new jobs, and a technology that does not rely on critical raw materials: Skeleton Technologies has opened its “SuperFactory” at ecoPARK Leipzig-West. The world’s largest supercapacitor factory is not only a milestone for Europe’s energy security but also the centerpiece of one of Germany’s most sustainable business parks.

Say Goodbye to the Stale Office Atmosphere! Who doesn’t remember the yellow-brown dreariness of “Capitol Versicherung” from the cult series *Stromberg*? But at the location on Cologne’s Kölner Straße, not a single stone will be left unturned. Where incompetence and office gloom once reigned, our sister company POHA House is creating a haven for urban joie de vivre as part of the “Cologne West Office Campus.” A radical transformation of the existing building is underway across 6,800 m².

Things are going great for our sister company POHA! Four POHA Houses in Aachen and Münster are now up and running, and two more in Hamburg and Düsseldorf are nearing completion. New locations in Essen and Cologne are already in the works.

We have acquired a well-known retail property in Aachen for our own portfolio. It is a high-traffic location, as the building on Adalbertstraße—Aachen’s central shopping district—is fully leased to the clothing retailer H&M.

The mayor arrived in a fire truck: Just eight months after the cornerstone was laid, the “Arbeitswelten am Prager Ring” project in Aachen was already celebrating its topping-out ceremony. By the end of 2026, the sustainable new office building—with nearly 9,000 m² of office and communal space—will be completed on schedule.
