The Neue Gesundheitshaus Dortmund sets standards that extend far beyond the country's borders: As the only German nominee, the project secured a spot on the prestigious shortlist for the "ULI Europe Award for Excellence."

A 220-million-euro investment, 420 new jobs, and a technology that doesn’t rely on critical raw materials: Skeleton Technologies has opened its “SuperFactory” at ecoPARK Leipzig-West. The world’s largest supercapacitor factory is not only a milestone for Europe’s energy security but also the centerpiece of one of Germany’s most sustainable industrial parks.

Say goodbye to the stuffy office atmosphere! Who doesn’t remember the yellow-brown dreariness of “Capitol Insurance” from the cult series *Stromberg*? But at the Kölner Straße location in Cologne, not a single stone will be left unturned. Where incompetence and office gloom once reigned, our sister company POHA House is creating a haven for urban joie de vivre as part of the “Cologne West Office Campus.” A radical transformation of the existing building is taking place across 6,800 m².

Things are going great for our sister organization POHA! Four POHA Houses in Aachen and Münster are now up and running, and two more in Hamburg and Düsseldorf are nearing completion. New locations in Essen and Cologne are already in the works.

We have acquired a well-known retail property in Aachen for our own portfolio. It is a high-traffic location, as the building on Adalbertstraße—Aachen’s central shopping street—is fully leased to the clothing retailer H&M.

The mayor arrived in a fire truck: Just eight months after the groundbreaking ceremony, the “Arbeitswelten am Prager Ring” in Aachen was already celebrating its topping-out ceremony. The sustainable new office building, featuring nearly 9,000 square meters of office and communal space, is scheduled to be completed on time by the end of 2026.

The C-Werk site is one of the largest contiguous development areas in downtown Aachen. Here, we intend to seize this unique opportunity to open up what has previously been a closed-off industrial site and transform it into a forward-looking neighborhood for commerce, manufacturing, offices, sports, recreation, and dining.

From an abandoned industrial site to a vibrant neighborhood through a series of transformations—that is the story the C-Werk in Aachen is currently writing. The site is becoming a symbol of the transition from an industrially dominated urban structure to a modern, sustainable business hub.

This transformation of the space is unique: where sofas, beds, and living room furnishings were once displayed across a vast area, new, attractive office and collaboration spaces are now being created for a modern health insurance company.

Another major leasing success in the Rhein-Main region: The Mannheim Local Court is moving into our AUGUSTA 33 portfolio for at least five years. To this end, the state of Baden-Württemberg has leased approximately 5,750 square meters in the prestigious historic building of our property on Mannheim’s Augustaanlage.

The Aachen dental practice of Dr. Hammächer and Prof. Dr. Stein is moving to the Quartier Nord. The specialists in implantology, periodontology, and prosthodontics are leasing 780 square meters at AlphaSpace on Krefelder Straße. This means our Aachen Spirit Office is now fully leased.

Aachen-based tetys GmbH & Co. KG chose the SmartLog 3 and moved into the city’s smartest building this spring. We spoke with Janina Keuters, managing partner of the family-owned business.

The York Quarter is being developed on the site of a former British military barracks. By 2030, it will become a new neighborhood featuring approximately 1,800 residential units, commercial spaces, restaurants, an elementary school, daycare centers, a community center, and recreational facilities. Within this overall development, the Landmarken project plays a key role—as a local retail anchor and as a connecting element between the existing and new neighborhoods.

The zoning plan is now final, and the building permit application will be submitted by summer: The “Leben am Park” residential neighborhood is set to become a reality—it will be the first Landmarken residential project in Bochum.

The severe shortage of housing has led to a tight and competitive housing market in many German cities. As project developers, we view it as an urgent social responsibility to provide housing through our projects. Our Head of Neighborhood Development is working to find ways to deliver quality housing more quickly with the help of the “Bau-Turbo” initiative.

Eight years of planning, countless discussions, and a clear vision: The Luisenhöfe in Aachen are entering the home stretch. Where unused brownfields and old garage complexes currently dominate the landscape, a vibrant, car-free neighborhood that brings generations together will soon take shape. With the submission of the building permit application this year, we are laying the foundation for 160 new apartments, a daycare center, and innovative repurposing of historic buildings. A project that demonstrates the value of patient project development for a sustainable city of the future.

Independent living with a high quality of life for older adults is a key component of our neighborhood development projects. That is why we have invested in lively Holding GmbH—and, in doing so, entered a future-oriented market with a growing target audience and rising demand. As the Landmarken Group, we have acquired approximately one-third of the shares in this specialist in senior living—other shareholders include founder Christina Kainz and the investment platform neworld.

At Landmarken, we have been creating vibrant, value-adding neighborhoods for many years. Our holistic approach spans the entire process, from the initial concept to completion.
