27 halls with a total area of 60,000 square meters, available for immediate occupancy: this is C-WERK in Aachen, offering flexible rental options for entire halls or partial areas starting at 300 square meters.
But C-WERK is more than that. It is currently one of the most exciting business locations in North Rhine-Westphalia. In the long term, it will develop into a state-of-the-art district with a focus on production. Through several metamorphoses—including attractive new buildings—the location will be flexibly adapted to the requirements of the future.
But C-WERK already offers optimal conditions. Companies in the manufacturing and processing industries will find space for production and storage at the highest level here.
The advantages
- immediately usable hall space of all shapes and sizes
- excellent infrastructure – connected offices and ample parking included
- Prime location between Cologne/Ruhr area and Brussels/Antwerp with direct connections to two highways and rail transport.
The attractive spaces are rented out by our sister company, The Urban Village. The team guarantees that rooms and quarters are designed to be lively, innovative, and forward-looking. C-WERK offers more than just commercial space: "We create a vibrant space that brings companies, employees, and the local community together," says Managing Director Julia Hesse.
Kathrin Steindl and Hannah Klein are the contact persons for tenants and prospective tenants. The project and real estate managers are regularly on site, and several times a week they give entrepreneurs a tour of C-WERK. "We both think alike and are happy to pick up the phone. You can call us anytime," says Kathrin Steindl. "We want to talk to interested parties and understand their needs." Production in particular has very specific requirements, from the accessibility of a hall to heating. "The issues we deal with there are highly complex and extremely exciting. We ask a lot of questions during the first phone call in order to make a suitable pre-selection for the first viewing."
The two of them are very attentive, which also benefits existing tenants – not only at C-WERK. Kathrin Steindl also manages the property on Habsburger Allee in Aachen with offices, retail, restaurants, and medical practices, the Kreuzer Höfe in Bonn, and the O-WERK | Campus in Bochum, where Sahra Mühlenhaus is the permanent community manager on site. Hannah Klein is also responsible for the prominent Karlshöfe on Aachen's market square. "Close contact is important to us," confirms Hannah Klein. "We are in the building on fixed days, and existing tenants can always call us," she says.
Last December, the team took over C-WERK and got to know it during an induction period. During this time, they also determined which halls could be rented out immediately, which were of long-term interest, and which were not suitable. The website c-werk-aachen.de was developed, where interested parties can view all rentable halls, get to know the team, and find contact details.
Interest in C-WERK's portfolio, which is unparalleled in its breadth, comes from a wide variety of sectors: metal construction, ventilation and heating technology, biotechnology, energy production, IT and software, aerospace technology – the diversity of industries is enormous. The team wants to create the best conditions for all of them. "To do that, it's sometimes worth thinking outside the box," says Hannah Klein, and Kathrin Steindl adds: "We like to draw inspiration from successful projects." At the end of March, both of them were in Munich's Werksviertel district with other members of the Urban Village team to familiarize themselves with the successful conversion of a former industrial site – including a guided tour and workshop. Soon, they will be looking at further best practice examples in Tallinn, Estonia, which is known for its culture of innovation. All with one goal in mind: to get the most out of C-WERK.
