In this issue of Landmarke, we take a look at exciting developments and innovative projects that make cities more livable.
We would like to present some of our most important current project developments. What they all have in common is that not a single square meter of green space had to be additionally sealed for them. Because we follow our guiding principle of prioritizing the preservation of existing buildings over demolition and new construction, thereby conserving resources. Because we develop brownfield sites for new construction that were of no ecological benefit. And because we are also breaking new ground in the process—as with our cradle-to-cradle project Moringa—in the hope that others will follow us. What these projects also have in common is that, in addition to their ecological impact, they also have a social impact. Whether it's upgrading residential areas in Aachen's Preuswald, affordable housing in HafenCity, or urban renewal in northern Dortmund, people are always at the center of our efforts.
