No. 28

Dear readers, The situation in the real estate sector is unclear. Rising prices and high interest rates are dampening the mood and causing caution in the market. Many activities are being restricted. We are also intensively engaged with these issues, as they not only affect the real estate industry, but are also socially relevant. It is already clear that Germany will fail to meet all of its targets for new housing construction, and the energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings must also be tackled urgently if we want to achieve our climate targets.

Right now, it is therefore all the more important to use the time for optimizations and innovation leaps. Here, we will be pioneers with our interdisciplinary team, our financial strength and stability, and the comprehensive capabilities of all companies in the Landmarken family. That is why we are focusing on the things that will take us forward, such as serial construction, system and modular construction, partnering models, new materials, and the operation of neighborhoods and real estate. We also focus on infrastructure projects and public users. First and foremost: sustainable portfolio development, especially in the commercial sector. You can also read in this issue how we cover almost all aspects of the real estate industry together in order to deliver what the city of tomorrow needs. Enjoy!

We are preparing our inventory for the future

"The vision of tomorrow's working world becomes reality"

A good six months ago, the last of a total of 1,200 employees took up their posts at our new Sparkassen Campus, which we built under the umbrella of kite in Cologne-Ossendorf. With the campus, we have successfully realized our vision of a modern working environment on approximately 17,000 square meters, which we have leased on a long-term basis in the three-part building complex.

Interview

"My colleagues are all enthusiastic."

Daniel Schwarz is the managing director of lise GmbH, which was the first tenant to move into kite last year. We spoke with him.
