Laying of the foundation stone for the data center of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Finance Administration
Together, we look back on the laying of the foundation stone for the data center of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Finance Administration.
The new data center for the financial administration (RZF) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is being built in Kaarst near Düsseldorf, a building complex with an area of around 37,000 square meters. Together with the Minister of Finance of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dr. Marcus Optendrenk, and many project participants, Landmarken AG, as the developer, celebrated the laying of the foundation stone.
"There are projects that are very special. The laying of the foundation stone is an important milestone for every project, but sometimes projects are also milestones for companies," said Anke Tsitouras, CEO of Landmarken AG, at the laying of the foundation stone for the data center of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Finance Administration.
The new building complex, which is being constructed in collaboration with general contractors ZECH Bau and ICT Facilities GmbH, will offer space for offices and meeting rooms, warehouses and workshops, a print shop, and a cafeteria in addition to the data center. The building concept offers attractive workplaces for the employees of the financial administration. In addition, there will be around 370 parking spaces in a multi-storey car park, an outdoor parking area, electric charging stations, and over 250 bicycle parking spaces. Around 1,000 state employees will work in the building in the future.
