The polis Convention opened its doors again in 2023. As an exhibitor at the trade fair, we took advantage of this opportunity to talk to cities and municipalities about their plans for the future and the current challenges facing the industry.

This year's polis Convention 2023 was a complete success, and we are thrilled with the experiences we had at the trade fair. Under the motto "Off to new adventures!", industry experts and urban planners came together. For us, polis was the perfect opportunity to discuss municipal urban planning and neighborhood development with livable and forward-looking concepts. We met with numerous network partners at the trade fair and exchanged ideas on various topics, including digitalization and smart buildings, the revitalization of existing properties, education and school partnerships, and much more. Among other things, Norbert Herrmanns and Jens Kreiterling met with Ina Scharrenbach, Minister for Home Affairs, Local Government, Building, and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and talked about current issues in the industry.

We were particularly impressed by the diversity of ideas and options presented at polis. We were inspired by numerous panel discussions and presentations and made many promising contacts. The polis Convention was definitely more than just a trade fair; it showed us how important exchange and cooperation are.

Jens Kreiterling, architect and economist, has been building Landmarken AG alongside Norbert Hermanns since 2008—initially as managing director and general representative, and since 2015 as a member of the executive board. Today, he runs the company together with Anke Tsitouras. The father of two daughters wants to develop economically attractive projects that also have high standards of good architecture and create social added value – both socially and ecologically.
