The Chancellor visits our O-WERK
Distinguished visitor at Mark 51°7 in Bochum: On Monday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the site to learn about the successful transformation of the former Opel factory grounds.
At the invitation of the Regionalverband Ruhr, the German Chancellor visited companies and research institutions, including the Maker Space at Ruhr University Bochum in Landmarken AG's O-WERK. Scholz praised the development of the site as a holistic concept for how economic, ecological, and social change can be successfully achieved.
Local investments have already created over 3,500 new jobs, around half of which are at Landmarken AG's O-WERK campus alone. In addition to the university and the specialist retailer Babymarkt.de, the O-Werk has also attracted the health insurance company Viactiv and the young tech companies VMRay and Physec to the new Ideenschmiede building. A new addition to the campus is the BG RCI professional association, which has moved into the newly completed Spirit Office building BrainFactory.
