New Work in the age of remote work
Companies are competing for skilled workers. In order to attract outstanding employees, companies are under pressure to be innovative, flexible, and to represent forward-looking values with which the workforce can identify.
The office should not be a work machine, but must offer space for self-realization and self-determination. Home office Studies have shown that half of all employees do not find their office workplace appealing. Even before the coronavirus pandemic, it was expected that remote work would become a normal part of our everyday working lives. However, the last year of working from home has also shown that many people cannot and do not want to do without the office. The result is hybrid working models, where people choose the workplace that best meets their different requirements. In a hybrid working model, the office must be a special place – as a social space, it takes on many functions that are lost in the home office. Modern offices offer space for a wide variety of workplace situations, quiet zones and shared break areas with a corresponding feel-good factor, different digital conference zones that can be divided into different sizes, and flexible options for different work situations.
