Aid organization focused on a strong home

Since April 2023, we at Landmarken AG have been supporting HoffnungsBAUer , an initiative by Habitat for Humanity to help people in need in over 70 countries and provide them with a safe home.

A home is more than just a roof over our heads—it is a place where we share our deepest emotions and develop ourselves. Unfortunately, around 1.6 billion people worldwide do not have a safe home and live without access to clean water and sanitation facilities. This is not only unhygienic, but also dangerous. The organization Habitat for Humanity is committed to promoting the right to a dignified home and thus a sustainable future worldwide.

Housing is a central goal of the 2030 Agenda

A roof over one's head is not only a basic need, but also a human right that is explicitly recognized in international agreements and declarationshousing is a central goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and an important factor in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Adequate and affordable housing promotes the health, education, and economic opportunities of residents. Improving housing conditions can be an opportunity for many to overcome structural poverty and strengthen the entire community. Aid projects contribute directly or indirectly to a variety of SDGs and help reduce inequality and strengthen resilience to economic and natural disasters.

Financial and on-site support

As part of the HoffnungsBAUer initiative, we help not only through financial support, but also through practical assistance on the ground. Every year, our employees travel to different areas for a week to work with local people to build their new homes. This experience not only changes people's lives, but also brings our employees closer together and contributes to a meaningful and fulfilling work environment. We are proud to support Habitat for Humanity on its journey toward a more beautiful and stable home—because everyone has a right to a home.

The three-part complex will be handed over to the user in May.
