Less than a year and a half after the cornerstone was laid in the spring, we were able to hand over the beautiful rental spaces at AlphaSpace Aachen to their tenants, together with general contractor Goldbeck. Following kiteLoft Cologne and BrainFactory Bochum, this is the third Spirit Office building developed by Landmarken to open its doors, and it also represents a key component in the development of the Quartier Nord neighborhood between Krefelder Straße and Gut-Dämme-Straße. The six-story, 10,000-square-meter modular building, completed on schedule, is fully leased.

Three companies have leased space in Landmarken AG’s new kiteLoft office building in Cologne. While OMP, a provider of digitized planning solutions for supply chains, and Akkodis, a specialist in smart industrial solutions, will move in this month, Cannamedical Pharma GmbH, which specializes in medical THC, will follow in early June. The kiteLoft can be operated in a climate-neutral manner and is the first building constructed according to the new “Spirit Offices” standard. Landmarken developed this standard in collaboration with New York-based architect Matthias Hollwich.

The foundation stone for the keystone has been laid: Amid perfect winter weather—with spring already tentatively peeking around the corner —the teams from project developer Landmarken and general contractor Goldbeck, together with representatives from the two tenants, celebrated the groundbreaking for AlphaSpace Aachen, the third Landmarken building to be constructed according to the Spirit Office concept, and at the same time the completion of the development of the Quartier Nord neighborhood, which has taken shape between Krefelder Straße and Gut-Dämme-Straße. Now things are moving quickly: within just five months, the six floors of the 10,000 m² modular building will be erected, with occupancy scheduled for mid-2025.

It is the final component of the Quartiers Nord development: AlphaSpace Aachen. Landmarken has already secured two tenants for this energy-efficient building, which is being constructed to the BEG-40 standard; together, they will occupy more than two-thirds of the approximately 10,000 square meters of space. Following the start of construction this year, the building is scheduled to be handed over to the tenants in mid-2025.

The main tenant will be the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI), which will occupy approximately 7,000 square meters in the new building. 1,400 square meters, including a rooftop terrace, are still available. Completion is scheduled for summer 2024.

Landmarken AG made a strong showing in two categories at this year's European Real Estate Brand Award: In the "Climate Neutrality" category, the company tied for first place with Art-Invest Real Estate. In the "Developers Office" category, Landmarken AG took second place.

A milestone for the O-Werk | Campus at MARK 51°7: On Friday, the cornerstone was laid for the BrainFactory Bochum, Landmarken AG’s first Spirit Office in the Ruhrgebiet. Designed by New York architect Matthias Hollwich (HWKN), the building is located right next to the O-Werk and can be operated in a climate-neutral manner using geothermal energy from mine water. The main tenant will be the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI), which will occupy approximately 7,000 square meters in the new building. 1,400 square meters, including a rooftop terrace, are still available.

Landmarken AG has been nominated for the European Real Estate Brand Award in the "Developers Office Germany" category. The awards ceremony will take place on June 14, 2023, in Berlin.

Spanning approximately 5,700 square meters, the space will feature customizable workspaces, a café, and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Cologne skyline. Completion is scheduled for summer 2023.
