The new gateway to the city center

At the beginning of 2012, Landmarken AG purchased the well-known former department store "Koch am Wall" in Wuppertal-Elberfeld with the aim of revitalizing the long-established location and repositioning it in the market.

This goal has been achieved: Rinke Treuhand GmbH was secured as a long-term partner and the main tenant of the architecturally sophisticated new building. They moved in at the beginning of 2016. Santander Bank and BARMER GEK occupy the remaining space.

All tenants praised the high quality of the attractive building. The modern commercial building is an architectural highlight and forms the new gateway to Elberfeld city center. It was sold to the asset and investment manager KGAL.

      The property, which consists of three buildings with around 28,800 square meters of rental space, including a listed old building, was sold by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, which will remain as a tenant in the complex until April 2025. As part of its strategy of sustainable portfolio development, Landmarken will renovate the property to improve its energy efficiency.
