Redesign of Portsmouth Square

The task was to redesign Portsmouthplatz at Duisburg's main railway station.

Our idea was to create a new identity for the square with a high-quality architectural building that connects the city center, the train station, and Am Buchenbaum street.

We developed a vertical quarter that serves as an urban link between the city center and the train station, featuring a fitness studio, micro-apartments, a hotel, a café, and a large open staircase.

      The property, which consists of three buildings with around 28,800 square meters of rental space, including a listed old building, was sold by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, which will remain as a tenant in the complex until April 2025. As part of its strategy of sustainable portfolio development, Landmarken will renovate the property to improve its energy efficiency.
