The Stage Is Set in Bonn
A successful competition entry has resulted in genuine added value for hotel guests and the citizens of Bonn, right on the Rhine next to the Beethovenhalle.
After Landmarken AG, in collaboration with kadawittfeldarchitektur, was unanimously declared the winner by the expert jury of the city’s investor competition, “Bonn’s most beautiful hotel” has now been created, one that visibly highlights the city’s connection to the Rhine. The glass-enclosed panoramic opening on the ground floor contributes to this, transforming the lobby and restaurant into a sort of “bel étage” with a view of the Rhine. From the rooftop bar—which, like the restaurant, is open to all Bonn residents—one enjoys a magnificent view across the Rhine.
The beautifully designed outdoor space is oriented toward the Rhine as a terraced urban stage and pays tribute to the musical history of Bonn, the city of Beethoven. Concerts, open-air movies, readings, and other performances can take place here.
The hotel operator, prizeotel, has developed a 3-star concept tailored specifically to Bonn’s location, which also places a strong emphasis on music. At the AHOI restaurant, run by TV-famous chef Steffen Henssler, guests can enjoy fish and meat right on the banks of the Rhine.
