Hansator connects Münster
Hansator will become the new, second front of the main station, making it a fully-fledged part of the city – urban, lively and offering many attractive uses such as living, shopping, eating and drinking, and staying overnight in a modern design hotel.
Of course, there will also be access to the tracks and all train functions, as well as a new bicycle parking garage for Münsteras an attractive urban connecting element with outstanding architecture, the Hansator overcomes the separation between the city center and the Hansaviertel district, thus contributing to holistic urban renewal. This was preceded in 2016 by a significant urban development investor selection process, from which Landmarken emerged as the preferred bidder with the design by kadawittfeldarchitektur.
in 2018, the project was awarded the polis Award for urban land recycling. With the economy design chain prizeotel and the co-living provider POHA House, innovative tenants with young concepts were won for the upper floors. REWE and the drugstore chain Müller, among others, are moving into the ground floor, where Müller will open its first branch in Münster. Completion and handover will take place in 2022.
