Less than a year and a half after the foundation stone was laid in spring, we were able to hand over the beautiful rental space in AlphaSpace Aachen to its users together with general contractor Goldbeck. After KiteLoft Cologne and BrainFactory Bochum, this is Landmarken's third Spirit Office building to go into operation and, at the same time, an important building block in the development of the Quartier Nord district between Krefelder Strasse and Gut-Damme-Strasse. The 10,000 m² modular building with six floors was completed on schedule and is fully let.

Three companies have leased space in Landmarken AG's new KiteLoft office building in Cologne. While OMP, a provider of digitized planning solutions for supply chains, and Akkodis, a specialist in intelligent industrial solutions, are moving in this month, Cannamedical Pharma GmbH, which specializes in medical THC, will follow at the beginning of June. KiteLoft can be operated in a climate-neutral manner and is the first building to be constructed in accordance with the new "Spirit Offices" office standard. Landmarken developed this standard in collaboration with New York architect Matthias Hollwich.

C-WERK GmbH, a sister company of Landmarken AG, Stadtmarken GmbH and ecoPARKS GmbH, has purchased the site of the former Continental tire plant in Aachen. Companies from the manufacturing industry can be established on the site in the short term. In the long term, the developers plan to develop the C-WERK, as it will be called in the future, into an open and sustainable quarter for urban production and commerce. The development of the former Opel plant site in Bochum serves as a model.

It is the final building block of the Quartier Nord district: AlphaSpace Aachen. Landmarken has already secured two tenants for the energy-efficient building, which is being constructed in accordance with the BEG 40 standard. Together, they will occupy more than two-thirds of the approximately 10,000 square meters of space. After construction begins this year, the building will be handed over to the tenants in mid-2025.

We are investing in a sustainable future. To this end, the Landmarken family is investing in the start-up Concular, which has set itself the task of transforming the real estate and construction industry towards a circular, sustainable economy. Together with other partners, the Landmarken family has participated in Concular's current financing round, in which the start-up was able to raise a total of 2.5 million euros.

Work is progressing rapidly at the O-Werk | Campus at MARK 51°7: Just four and a half months after the foundation stone was laid for the BrainFactory Bochum, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated this week. The six floors of the fourth new building on the campus are now complete, and interior work is beginning: Landmarken AG's first Spirit Office in the Ruhr region is taking shape. The main tenant will be the Berufsgenossenschaft Rohstoffe und chemische Industrie (BG RCI), which will occupy around 7,000 square meters in the new building. 1,400 square meters with a roof terrace are still available. Completion is scheduled for summer 2024.

Landmarken AG impressed in two categories at this year's European Real Estate Brand Award: the company took first place in the "Climate Neutrality" category, together with Art-Invest Real Estate. Landmarken AG secured second place in the "Developers Office" category.

Milestone for the O-Werk | Campus at MARK 51°7: On Friday, the foundation stone was laid for BrainFactory Bochum, Landmarken AG's first Spirit Office in the Ruhr region. Designed by New York architect Matthias Hollwich (HWKN), the building is located directly next to the O-Werk and can be operated in a climate-neutral manner using geothermal energy from mine water. The main tenant will be the Berufsgenossenschaft Rohstoffe und chemische Industrie (BG RCI), which will occupy around 7,000 square meters in the new building. 1,400 square meters with a roof terrace are still available.

Landmarken AG has been nominated for the European Real Estate Brand Award in the category "Developers Office Germany." The award ceremony will take place on June 14, 2023, in Berlin.

The German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI) is moving into the BrainFactory Bochum at the O-WERK | CAMPUS. In summer 2024, it will become the main tenant of around 7,000 square meters in the new building, for which the building permit was recently granted. What makes this project special is that BrainFactory is being realized according to the new Spirit Offices office concept, which Landmarken AG developed in collaboration with New York architect Mathias Hollwich.
