Distinguished visitor at Mark 51°7 in Bochum: On Monday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the site to learn about the successful transformation of the former Opel factory grounds.

The jury has deliberated and awarded the Landmarken family a double success with two nominations: While the urban village concept of our sister company Urban Village GmbH was nominated in the management category of the Immobilienmanager Award ("im Award"), the think tank in Bochum, which was completed last year, made it into the top three project developments in the new construction category. The winners will be announced at the im Award gala on March 7 in Cologne.

Work is progressing rapidly at the O-Werk | Campus at MARK 51°7: Just four and a half months after the foundation stone was laid for the BrainFactory Bochum, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated this week. The six floors of the fourth new building on the campus are now complete, and interior work is beginning: Landmarken AG's first Spirit Office in the Ruhr region is taking shape. The main tenant will be the Berufsgenossenschaft Rohstoffe und chemische Industrie (BG RCI), which will occupy around 7,000 square meters in the new building. 1,400 square meters with a roof terrace are still available. Completion is scheduled for summer 2024.

The O-Werk | Campus neighborhood development by Landmarken AG is generating considerable interest on the capital market. Following the completion of the three-part "Ideenschmiede" ensemble in early 2023, the sale of part 3 to La Française Real Estate Managers (REM) has now been finalized. For the buyer, the property, with a rental area of approximately 5,290 square meters, is its first office building in Bochum. It was acquired on behalf of a collective real estate investment vehicle.

Milestone for the O-Werk | Campus at MARK 51°7: On Friday, the foundation stone was laid for BrainFactory Bochum, Landmarken AG's first Spirit Office in the Ruhr region. Designed by New York architect Matthias Hollwich (HWKN), the building is located directly next to the O-Werk and can be operated in a climate-neutral manner using geothermal energy from mine water. The German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI) is moving into the BrainFactory Bochum at the O-WERK | CAMPUS. In summer 2024, it will become the main tenant of around 7,000 square meters in the new building, for which the building permit was recently granted. What makes this project special is that BrainFactory is being realized according to the new Spirit Offices office concept, which Landmarken AG developed in collaboration with New York architect Mathias Hollwich.

It is one of Bochum's largest daycare centers and an important component of the neighborhood development of O-WERK | CAMPUS at MARK 51°7: Villa Luna in front of O-Werk. The 60-place bilingual daycare center, which opened in August, has now celebrated its opening party. Construction took just five months.

Bochum. The O-WERK | CAMPUS, a key pillar of neighborhood development at MARK 51°7, is filling up: Following Viactiv health insurance, two young tech companies are now moving into the new development by Landmarken AG.

Even though the festive gala unfortunately had to be canceled, the joy remained unbroken: two landmark projects were honored at the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence awards ceremony.
