Particularly sustainable implementation
This is already the second project in Kranenburg: on the last potential site for retail in the immediate vicinity of the shopping arena, Weide Park is now nearing completion, with particular attention paid to sustainability during its construction.
Following the first expansion of the shopping arena, which opened in 2009, the council of the municipality on the Dutch border once again placed its trust in Landmarken AG. A total of around 6,000 m² of rental space and approx. 180 parking spaces are being created at Großer Haag. The tenants are REWE, PENNY, and Müller, who are expanding the range of products on offer at the already established shopping location and identify with Landmarken AG's sustainable concept.
What makes Weide Park special is its implementation as a sustainable retail park. A green real wood façade adorns the building, electricity comes from the PV system on the roof, and water can seep away on the property. In addition, there are protective measures for the bird population and e-charging points in the parking lot. The entire retail park with all three rental units is to be certified with DGNB Gold.
