WE are C.A.R.L.
The situation couldn't be better for students at RWTH Aachen University: Right next to the new C.A.R.L. lecture hall center and the entrance to the Westbahnhof train station, 87 units ranging in size from 20 to 30 m² are being built on Geschwister-Scholl-Straße in Aachen.
Located at the junction of the various RWTH campuses, the property is predestined for the WE PARTMENT conceptnbsp; The "WE PARTMENT – Leben am C.A.R.L." is five and a half stories high and has 60 single apartments, two of which are wheelchair accessible, as well as six two-person and five three-person shared apartments. The concept is complemented by a laundry room, a lounge, and a roof terrace for shared use.
Urban gardening on the roof terrace allows residents to grow their own plants, bringing greenery into their living space and creating added value for everyone. Both the roof terrace and the highlight of the building, the WaschBar, a mixture of laundromat and bar with a drinks machine and WiFi, serve as communal areas and meeting places for communication. Once ready for construction, the project development was sold to a private developer.
